There will be many analyses of what happened in the 2020 election. Of course, the most common question discussed will be whether or not the election results were a sham. But, there were other aspects of the election that were actually extremely important, and they point to a clear rejection of the left-wing ideology of the Black Lives Matter movement.
There were many pre-election polls that predicted a massive sweep towards the Democrats in both the Congress and the Senate. These polls were completely off. One of the most stark examples of this was the prediction that Republican Senator Collins would lose reelection by more than 10 points. She won, rather easily. The polls – nearly all of them – were more than 15% off! The Congress was supposed to respond with a large rejection of everyone that supported President Trump. Instead, voters rejected the black lives matter movement and the riots that ensued following many of the demonstrations.
Conservatives were not heard from much over the last four years. Donald Trump’s populism dominated the airwaves and social media. But, quietly, there has been a reawakening across the United States concerning the threat that the radical leftists pose. It seems that the riots at the end of many demonstrations have scared many people into realizing that the ideology of socialists like Bernie Sanders and his supporters could lead to havoc on the the streets of the United States. Neighborhoods that always assumed they would be safe now understand that the mix of riots and socialist-oriented politicians could create a dynamic that will destroy their lifestyles.
Congress will be more Republican in the next 2 years due to the election results. And if Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are running the country from 2020 till 2024, odds are that there will be a Republican-led Congress in 2 or 4 years. The United States is polarized, but the conservative right-wing leaning side of the country has a lot to look forward to. There are more than five excellent right-wing conservative candidates for the 2024 election. Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio, are just a few of the many names that will be tossed around. They are all strong choices. The future is bright.
