Jerusalem Hospital Parking Lot Collapses into Sinkhole
On Monday, a sinkhole took in three cars as part of a Jerusalem hospital parking lot collapsed. You can see from the video how part of the Shaare Zedek lot falls into a sinkhole. It is extremely frightening to watch. The Jerusalem Post reported in the end that thank G-d, no one seemed to have been injured. What a miracle after a disaster like this! The Jerusalem Affairs Ministry is investigating if the building of tunnels on a highway nearby was connected to the parking lot collapse.
Shaare Zedek Hospital is one of Jerusalem’s largest and oldest hospitals. Every day of the year, the hospital, like all other hospitals in Israel, sees thousands of Jewish and Arab patients being treated by many hundreds of Jewish and Arab doctors and nurses. There is no place in the Middle East that is as peaceful as an Israeli hospital.
Hopefully, they will figure out what caused the collapse so that nothing like this ever happens again.
