ONE WEEK TO GO: Will Netanyahu Win?

With one week to go until Israel’s fifth elections in two years, former Prime Minister Netanyahu’s block remains just one mandate below the required 61 according to most polls.

While Netanyahu is still the most popular politician in Israel, the country’s chaotic parliamentary system may not hand him the premiership again. Unfortunately that just means more political uncertainty at a time when Israel can least afford it.

With 61 MKs, This Bibi Tenure Will be Different

The rise of Itamar Ben-Gvir and the entire Religious Zionist party in the polls has made this election far more interesting than the last few. The prospects of a Bibi having to rely on Ben-Gvir to keep his government afloat is something that very well may lead to a revolution in the security services and judicial system.

Israel is sitting on a crossroads between choosing to use its regional power to push itself ahead and tackle internal issues without pressure or remain the lackey of a dying Western world. Netanyahu seems to understand that circumstances are aligning that may propel him back in the PM’s seat in a way that he may be able to finally tackle the country’s deep rooted inner conflicts.

This is the reason that the left is panicking and this is also the reason why Bibi 3.0 might be something far different than the last iterations.
