WhatsappThe new Israeli government has been a breath of fresh air for Israel’s majority traditional-rightwing populace. However, the Biden administration has made its views known on Bibi’s newest government.
The Biden administration has made it clear that it opposes any changes to Israel’s judicial system as well as moves Ben Givr and Smotrich support in Judea and Samaria. Right now Biden does not seem ready to do anything directly to Israel, but the longer this goes on that will change.
Perhaps the most important issue that neither side sees eye to eye on is Iran. While the Biden administration claims that no nuclear deal is happening right now, they are not rushing out and forcibly preventing Iran from getting nukes either. Israel is pretty much on its own.
It is not clear whether or not the Biden administration will ever come directly against Israel, but what is clear is the relationship is already badly frayed and could get far worse.
