Israel Prepares To Push Into Southern Gaza

Netanyahu and his fellow war cabinet members, Yoav Gallant, and Benny Gantz declared that the second phase of the Gaza operation was about to begin. This includes focusing Israeli forces on Southern Gaza.

Netanyahu made it clear that the IDF will expand its control and ground operations into the southern part of Gaza Strip. The IDF has already started dropping leaflets warning residents to flee.

“We are in the second stage of the ground invasion, also operating in the east of the Strip,” Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said. “Hamas has been hit hard, it’s losing tunnels, bunkers, posts,” and many of its senior commanders have been killed, he added.

“We are reaching all of the sites sensitive to Hamas and hitting them,” he said.

“With every passing day, there are fewer places for the Hamas terrorists to move around,” he said.

Those hiding out in the south of the Strip, where the IDF has yet to send in ground troops, “will feel this soon,” said Gallant.

As Israel begins to send its forces into the southern part of the Gaza Strip, many are wondering where the residents will go to. With Egypt keeping its border closed and the Northern part of the Strip decimated, there are very little options for Gazans. Despite this, the IDF plans on continuing the Gaza ground operation into the South. This is where many experts believe the real operational center for Hamas activities are.

When the fighting starts in Southern Gaza, will the Gazans push into Egypt? It would seem that is their only recourse and when that happens what will Egypt do?

The answers will be arriving soon.
