Iranian Human Rights Activists Talk Victory for Israel

Iranian human rights activists, husband and wife, came to speak at a special Israel Victory Project committee hearing in Israel’s Knesset (parliament).

They gave over a key message – Hamas and Hizbullah must be defeated as a first step alone! They are only some of the octopus arms of Iran, the biggest terror state in the world that threatens the whole freedom-loving world. After defeating Hamas and Hizbullah, Israel must also attack the head of the octopus, Iran itself, and destroy the Islamic Republic of Iran, not just for the safety of Israel, not just to free the Iranian people, but for the whole freedom-loving world.

If only we had politicians and IDF Generals who understood all this and would lead us properly, instead of being afraid what the “world would say”.

Some other speakers at the conference included sitting Knesset members, former Knesset members, as well as former IDF commanders and NGO leaders.

Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs Director Dan Diker emphasized how important it was that the Iranian human rights activists spoke about the Iranian octopus, and the need to re-introduce that into the Israeli lexicon, since a single focus on Hamas and Hizbullah is meaningless, without recognizing that they are just some parts of a much greater Iranian terror octupus that threatens us all.

Former IDF commander Amir Avivi, head of the Bitchonistim organization also emphasized that a victory in Gaza meant that the IDF must fully control Gaza and Israel must re-establishment Jewish communities in Gaza. He described how there are three different security solutions, of which two have been tried and failed, which leaves the third.

Avivi said that solution #1 which failed is allowing the Arabs to have self-rule. That has proven to be a disaster. Both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas have shown they are only interested in terror and the use of their political power to continuously try to destroy Israel.

Solution #2 which is a failure is a military presence. Both the Israeli experience in Lebanon, as well as the US experience in Afghanistan and Iraq, have been failures. Having only a military presence ends up leading to a buildup of deaths and casualties, and the eventual abandonment of the area by the military.

The only solution that will succeed is solution #3, a joint military and civilian presence, as we have in Judea & Samaria. The civilian presence strengthens the military presence, and allows for a much better security situation.

As I can attest as an IDF soldier who served in Gaza, Judea and Samaria, which had both military and civilian presence before Israel gave land away to be self-ruled by the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, the only terror we had in those areas were the throwing of rocks. They only received guns, and developed deadly rockets in Gaza, after Israel pulled out all IDF and Jewish civilian communities from the Gaza strip.
