WhatsappNews and videos are spreading fast of a growing number of protests erupting against Hamas in Gaza. This sort of thing would have been unthinkable before, but due to the IDF’s increasing control over the Gaza Strip and what appears to be Hamas’ collapse above ground, more and more “civilians” feel safe to protest.
Many social media commentators have been quick to point out that Gazans by and large have been innocently controlled by Hamas - mostly out of fear, but is it true? Or is something else going on?
The fact is, protests against Hamas are nothing new. They have happened periodically since Hamas brutally defeated Fatah in it’s 2006 takeover after winning the “palestinian” elections that year. Hamas terrorists through Fatah terrorists off of buildings, killed them in gunfights, and banished the leadership from the Gaza Strip.
People are claiming that these protests somehow signal a change of heart in the Gazan population when it comes to Israel. They do not. What they show is that when pressed the “civilians” in Gaza will turn on Hamas. However, none of these “civilians” have taken the $5 million reward to help the IDF free hostages - not one. These Gazans now protesting against Hamas will gladly join another murderous pogrom against the Jews in the future.
In the coming weeks as Hamas continues to collapse there will be a renewed push to portray the Gazan “civilian” populace has peaceful – they are anything but after all an overwhelming majority of them supported the October 7th attacks and are only dissenting now because they know they are losing.
Only when the Arabs of Gaza who overwhelmingly come from Egypt are sent elsewhere and the land is repopulated with Jews who have had an ancient historic presence there will peace break out. Anything else is based on a delusion and will fail.
