British Minister Upends Anti-Israel Policy With These Words

British Minister Sajid Javid recounts how when he was Home Secretary he wanted to visit the Western Wall. He was shocked to find out that the British government had a long standing policy of not allowing Ministers to visit the Western Wall. So he said: “Get Stuffed.”

With those words Minister Javid changed British policy away from its long standing anti-Israel stance.

Of course, this wasn’t the first time someone stood against British anti-Israel policy regarding the Western Wall. In a famous incident before the Jewish people gained independence in the Land of Israel Moshe Segal led a group of Jews into the Old City and to the Western Wall, where the British had curtailed Jewish prayer on the 9th of Av, the Jewish day of mourning for the Temple.

Although many told Segal and the crowd to stop, he would not take no for an answer and led the group singing Hatikva all the way to the Wall. This broke British law and Segal had to go into hiding, but by doing so shattered long standing British policy towards the Jewish holy site.

While Javid took no such daring action as Moshe Segal, his stance should be commended.
