The Malaysia PM is anti-semitic. And he is proud of it. But some of the world is brave enough to stand up to his discrimination!

The Malaysia PM

The prime minister of Malaysia is Mahathir Bin Mohamad. Malaysia is a mostly Muslim country, and they are not friendly by any means toward Israel. They do not allow entry with an Israeli passport. As the Malaysia PM said, “The Jews are not merely hook-nosed, but understand money instinctively.” He also said he is proud to be called an anti-semite. Mahathir Bin Mohamad has said terrible things relating to the Holocaust. He is so open about his beliefs and so honored to discriminate that it is frightening he is the head of ANY country.

Ban on Israeli Athletes

And recently, he decided to put a ban on the Israeli athletes who were going to compete in the World Para Swimming Championships that were supposed to be held in Malaysia the summer of 2019. He is not the first one to single out Israelis, and sadly, he probably will not be the last.

But thankfully, morality is winning over his anti-semitism.

The Committee’s Response

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) responded well. They withdrew the competition from Malaysia. If the Malaysia PM wants to discriminate, it will come back at him.

This is a situation where people chose equality over discrimination, love over hate, and unity over conflict. Mahathir Bin Mohamad should realize that at the end of the day, he will not win over those who represent the good in this world.
