Anti-semitism is not something new for the Jewish people. It has been happening for centuries. And now, the world likes to call it anti-Zionism.
Anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionism
Anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism are one and the same. Some of the world likes to claim they are not anti-semitic rather only anti-zionistic. They try to argue that being against the Jewish state does not mean you are against the Jewish people.
That is just absurd. If you are against the Jewish state, you are against the Jewish people.
Fighting Against Anti-Semitism
The conference on the fight against anti-semitism and anti-zionism that took place in Austria was a step in the right direction. It is reassuring to see some of the world understanding that these two forms of being against the Jewish people are the exact same thing.
The more people who understand this, the more the truth will spread.
The prime minister of Israel is thankful that such a conference happened. He started off his message to the conference and said, “Warmest greetings from Jerusalem to the conference on the fight against antisemitism and anti-Zionism. They are one. This is the first and most essential point of this conference. I thank Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, my friend, and the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union for convening such an important gathering in Vienna.”
Nevertheless, this conference is not the end of the story. Indeed, there is much more work to be done.
