Hamas terrorists from Gaza are terrorizing Israel’s southern border communities. This has been going on for at least 3-4 months. The terrorists send kites and balloons with burning fire coals into Israel to burn and destroy fruit trees, forests, wheat fields, wildlife and nature reserves.
They have destroyed thousands of trees. Life has become impossible for these farmers.
Zo Artzeinu went to the front lines. Check out the interview.
Background of the Region
The areas where the Arabs are terrorizing Israel from used to be part of the State of Israel. However, in a shocking move back in 2005, Israel unilaterally withdrew. This surprised many – especially the Arabs. They looked at it as a sign of weakness. Now, they use the same exact areas as launching pads to attack Israel. They attack from the sky and underground. At first, the Hamas – the official leadership of the area – bombed Israel thousands of times. In addition, the Hamas dug up tens of tunnels in order to penetrate Israel from underground. Every few weeks, Israel seems to discover another tunnel beneath the border.
It is obvious to any objective observer that Israel must not allow the havoc to continue. Wherever the Israeli Army is in charge of the land, the border will be quiet. However, wherever Israel does not control the land, border attacks will keep coming.
Meanwhile, these farmers are caught in a horrible financial situation as Israel works out the right time to perform a large-stage attack on the Hamas.
Show these farmers that they are not alone. Stand up to the new front of terrorism in Israel’s south!
Orchards, groves and vineyards are destroyed? We will plant new ones that are bigger than before.
Give strength to these heroic farmers. They are holding their ground and want to work the soil.
Zo Artzeinu was founded back in 1993 in order to help educate people about the importance of the land, trees, fruits, agriculture and the environment, as well as help safeguard and protect the land, enabling it to flourish and grow.
Since then we have planted more FRUIT trees than any other organization. The trees not only beautify and settle the land, but provide a living and support for entire communities who work the land and take care of these trees and their fruits.
They also give us the opportunity to fulfill numerous Mitzvot, Biblical commandments on the land, the trees and their fruits.
Planting FRUIT trees fulfills the Torah Mitzvah, (Biblical Commandment) to plant FRUIT trees when entering and returning to the land as stated in Leviticus 19:23ויקרא
The Torah (Bible) also says:
"And I will bless those who bless you"(Genesis 12:3 בְּרֵאשִׁית)Iוַאֲבָרְכָה, מְבָרְכֶיךָ
Planting FRUIT trees brings a Blessing to the People and the Land!
