The U.S. Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, has done unbelievable things for Israel and America. Check out what he does with his spare time.
U.S. Ambassador to Israel Volunteers
It is often hard for the average person to find time to volunteer. So you would think that it would be even harder if someone has the job of being the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. But somehow, David Friedman has found the time to help Israel’s poor. Friedman and some of the embassy staff volunteered at a place called Pantry Packers. They helped package healthy foods for an organization that gives food to thousands upon thousands of families in Israel. Friedman might have a busy job, but he managed to make time to do something inspiring like this. If only we can all do such acts of kindness!
It is interesting to note the types of families that Pantry Packers helps. Based on what the news headlines say about Israel, you would never believe it.
Israel Helps All Types of Needy
Israel does not discriminate between different types of poor. Pantry Packers provides food for people of all races and religions. It is so important to share that piece of information. Israelis do not only care about themselves. They care about helping all people – even if that person might belong to a different culture. Why is it so hard for the public to realize this about Israel? The Jewish state is a special and unique place. Despite constant threats, they still manage to make the world a better place. It would make sense if they chose to only focus on themselves being that their existence is constantly threatened. But they choose to focus on others as well.
Maybe this is the type of story that the news stations should start covering. Maybe then people will get a glimpse of the truth.
