El Paso Police began receiving reports of an active shooter around 10 a.m. this morning at a Walmart at Cielo Vista Mall in El Paso, Texas. At least 22 people have been reported shot or injured from the incident. One suspect is in currently in police custody.
The scene inside the mall was frantic. Here is a video of a person hiding inside the store during the shooting.
During the mass shooting in El Paso, Glen Oakley, who was in the nearby Foot Locker store, acted to save as many children as possible. As he ran for safety at the sound of the shooting, he saw kids in the mall without their parents, scared and alone. So he picked up as many as he could and carried them to safety. He is one of the heroes.
