IDF Hammers Hamas Across Gaza

The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated the head of the Hamas terrorist organization’s weapons smuggling infrastructure; another major Islamic Jihad terrorist who directed terrorist attacks on Israeli territory has also been eliminated as the IDF continues to tighten its control over Gaza.

The IDF and Shin Bet attacked terrorists in the Khan Yunis area on Tuesday and eliminated Yahya Fathi Abd al-Qadir Abu Shaar, the head of the Hamas terrorist organization’s weapons smuggling infrastructure.

In recent years, Yahya Fathi worked to smuggle weapons and military equipment into the Gaza Strip that were used by Hamas.

Last week, the IDF and Shin Bet attacked the Khan Yunis area, eliminating terrorist Islamic Jihad terrorist who had directed significant terror attacks on Israeli territory in the past two years, and particularly in recent months.

Prior to the attacks, many steps were taken to reduce harm to civilians, including the use of precision weapons, aerial observations, and additional intelligence information.

The Air Force has attacked approximately 110 targets of terrorist organizations throughout the Gaza Strip in the past two days, including terrorist cells and terrorist infrastructure. Yesterday, an aircraft attacked the Nusirat area, a central military structure of Hamas’s naval force. The structure was used to plan and promote terror plots in the maritime domain against the citizens of the State of Israel.

In the northern Gaza Strip, forces from Division 252 destroyed underground infrastructure and shafts. During their operation, an aircraft eliminated armed terrorists who were moving towards Forces.
In the Rafah area, Gaza Division forces located and destroyed terrorist infrastructure, tunnel shafts and mortar bombs.
Also in the Rafah area and on the ‘Morj’ axis, Division 36 forces located and destroyed launchers and terrorist infrastructure above and below ground.
