This is Maor Cohen. He might look like a regular IDF officer, but when you find out about his Lego man job, you’ll be totally moved. What a hero!

The Lego Man Hero

Maor Cohen is an officer in the Israel Defense Forces. That in itself is heroic. But there is something else he does with his time. Cohen brings Legos to children suffering from cancer. A Lego may not be medicine, but it definitely helps these children cope with their illness. It is so touching to see that people like this exist in the world. Out of the goodness of his heart, Cohen volunteers to visit the children’s oncology departments in hospitals. He brings a smile to the faces of so many children. They await his visits! What an inspiring man. IDF officer AND Lego man hero!

What is a Hero?

If you google the definition of a hero, this is what you will get: “A person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.” Those are exactly the qualities that Maor Cohen exemplifies. It is not easy to go visit children with cancer, especially when there is potential death involved. Cohen knows that. He knows that he may have to say goodbye to the friends he made and the children who look forward to seeing him. But he still does it. Officer Cohen still chooses to put himself in a situation that may be difficult but will make others happy. And that is truly courageous.
