The rockets finally stopped in the middle of the night. Experts say this is partly due to Israel surprising Hamas with its unrelenting airstrike attack on key military installations and homes in Gaza.
No, this will not end the conflict. It will just postpone the next round to a later date. Hamas will rebuild and rearm for the next round.
The question is, what is Israel waiting for to finally destroy Hamas and remove the terror threat from Gaza? Israel can do it and should do it. Unfortunately, it has not yet decided to do it. Whether because of the risks involved, the fear that it is an overall trap by Iran to then launch a multiple front war against Israel or a fear of the day after.
