WhatsappFreedom of Ideas is a precious thing. Every professor should never have to think about his own safety. It is the lifeblood of a University or any place of higher learning. Yes, even radical ideas. However, it should also be a safe place – a place where students – and yes – professors do not fear for their life. The price a professor should pay for being too off the deep end is the loss of their job. The price a student should have to pay is suspension from the school.
Don’t insult Mohammed
A French professor insulted Mohammed and failed a student. That was a lethal mistake. What is going on? So, next time that we hear about radical professors, let’s realize that sometimes the professors are the one’s in danger – not the students.
France is the country that is known for freedom and liberty. It is so sad that things today are so diametrically opposed to the ideals of Western values of freedom.
Europe is Going the Wrong Way
Universities in the West have gone awry. Political correctness has taken over. But the most dangerous thing is not merely the Universities. It is the new immigrants who come and try as hard as possible to NOT assimilate into their new culture. They try to change the culture of their new home. There is nothing inherently wrong with that. The problem is if the culture they are bringing along is one that destroys all other cultures.
