Israel Is This Close To Elections…Again

As fallout from a failed bill spreads across the coalition, the bloated unity coalition shows why forcing parties that have opposing agendas to sit together only prolongs the inevitable.

While Israel is not jumping to elections just yet, the potential for new election increases everyday. The left sees and opening to take down Netanyahu over the spreading coronavirus, while he is being hammered by the rightwing for not pushing forward with sovereignty.

Polls show Prime Minister Netanyahu would most likely remain at the helm, as Gantz’s Blue and White continues to slide considerably in the polls.

While anything is possible, a new election will more than likely guarantee a new rightwing coalition as the country has begin to favor Bennett at the helm of Defense in order to properly handle the coronavirus pandemic.

So will Bibi go for it and plunge the country back into elections? The coming weeks will decide.
