Israel’s need for safe and secure borders

With the long awaited “Deal of the Century” now released, the question remains whether or not the deal itself takes into consideration Israel’s security.

Let’s look at some points:

In any deal Israel must keep control of the vital Jordan River Valley as its Easternmost border. The deal certainly gives Israel control over the valley at its widest.

Israel must also keep control of those areas in Judea and Samaria which overlook the coast, where 70% of the country lives. The “Deal of the Century” keeps these in Israel’s hands.

Israel must also keep control over all border crossings. Trump’s deal does this.

In conclusion, one can certainly say that while the “Deal of the Century” is not perfect it definitely meets all of Israel’s security needs.
