Mohammed
Mohammed is the founder of Islam, he claims he was sent present and confirm monotheistic teachings. The same teachings taught by Abraham, Moses, Jesus and other prophets. He is seen as one of the final prophets, of god. The Quran and his teachings formed the basis of Islam.
Mohammed born in the Arabian city of Mecca, in the year 570 CE. He was orphaned at age 6 and grew up with his paternal grandfather. There would be many times he would go to a cave and seclude himself, in a mountain cave named Hira. It is in the cave that Mohammed, age 40 received a dream from the angel Gabriel and his first revelation from god.
Islam at the beginning had few in numbers, to shield them from prosecution Mohammed and his followers made pilgrimage from Mecca to Medina. In 632 CE, Mohammed fell ill and died, by this time most of the Arabian Peninsula had converted to Islam.

It is said in the Quran “Allah has promised to the believers, men, and women, gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein, and beautiful mansions in gardens of everlasting bliss.”
In Islam, the family is of central importance. The man is responsible for the financial well being of the family while the woman contributes to the family’s physical, educational and emotional well being.
Women feel today that Islam is slowly, giving them the opportunity to go and learn in universities. They can leave the house and work but it should be with in a Muslim setting, so as not to get influenced by non believers.

Sarsour is an American Political activist and former executive director of the Arab American Association of New York. Sarsour has been criticized by Jewish leaders and organizations. Linda is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. In 2012 President Obama recognized her as a Champion of Change.
Linda Sarsour is an advocate for Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, she is known to criticize the Israeli Government and Zionism. Sarsour told Ha’aretz, an Israeli newspaper that she will always be critical of Israel and support BDS, the boycott movement.
Linda Sarsour has been accused of antisemitism, after not mentioning Jews in a Holocaust Memorial Day Speech. She has defended herself against these accusations by helping raise funds for the victims of the Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting and other attacks on the Jewish Community.
