Islamophobia is the fear, hatred or prejudice of the Islam religion. Unfortunately today many see Islam as a religion that leads to terrorism. The cause and characteristics of Islamophobia are still debated. Many feel that since the increase of the Muslim population in the United States and Europe Islamophobia has increased.
Islamophobia in the United States, many describe as invalidated, effective distrust and hostile. There are those that feel Islamophobia has increased in the United States since the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York on 11th September 2001. Many citizens across the country do not see the kind Muslim. But the Muslim who is defending terror, the Muslim who attacked their country.
According to Media Tenor International, between 2007 and 2013, media outlets like NBC, Fox News, and CBS characterized Islam and the Muslim identity as one linked with violence and extremism.

MSNBC is an American pay television network that provides news coverage and political commentary. MSNBC and its website were founded in 1996, its headquarters in New York City. Commentators have said that MSNBC has a biased towards left-leaning politics and the Democratic Party.

Examples of organizations include the National Coffee Association, Gun Owners of America, Citizens Go, Republican Jewish Coalition and Saudi American Public Relation Affairs Committee, the list is endless.
