When it comes to saving lives, you don’t have to be a batman or a superman to be a real life superhero. United Hatzalah of Israel is powered by volunteer EMTs and Paramedics. They drop whatever they are doing in order to help someone in danger. This goes on across the entire State of Israel, 365 days of the year, 24/7. Some of their volunteers actually go to sleep in their uniforms in order to save a few seconds on a call.
24/7 Saving Lives
United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Service organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. The service is available to all people. regardless of race, religion, or national origin. United Hatzalah has more than 5,000 volunteers around the country. They are available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With the help of a unique GPS technology and iconic ambucycles, their average response time is less than 3 minutes across the country. In metropolitan areas, the response time is less than 90 seconds. Their mission is to arrive at the scene of medical emergencies as soon as possible. At the scene, they provide the patient with professional and appropriate medical aid until an ambulance arrives. This saves many lives – every day of the year.
