Netanyahu’s King Solomon Moment

Here is the very sad thing about the protest movement taking place in Israel today.

First of all, it is based on lies. It’s not a public outcry protesting an anti-democratic move by the government, it is a protest movement led by very disturbed former politicians, former IDF Generals and businessmen who are afraid of losing their power.

And they are creating a very harmful divisive atmosphere in Israel, dividing up the people with a campaign of lies and emotional manipulation, in order to hold on to their power.

The judicial reform is coming to undo the undemocratic coup that the judicial establishment began back in the 1980s with the introduction of the “reasonableness” clause, that allowed judges to overturn decisions based on their own “reasoning”, (without having to rely on any law), that then continued with the passing of the basic laws in the early 1990s that then allowed the courts to usurp the powers of the Executive and Legislative branches, and that has continously built up the Attorney General to be the defacto ruler over Israel, above the Prime Minister, even though there is no law that properly defines the role of the Attorney General.

Anyone who truly knows how the Supreme Court judges are chosen today would easily understand why it needs to be changed, it is totally undemocratic with the left always having an automatic majority vote, even when they are in the opposition. (explanatory video below)

Anyone who truly knows how the Supreme Court has abused the “reasonableness” clause to impose it’s own progressive ideology on the State of Israel, overturning government decisions with no legal reasoning, knows that it must be gotten rid of. (explanatory video here)

Anyone who truly knows the absolute absurd role that of the Attorney General today, that has more power than the Prime Minister, that also is supposed to be the legal body that defends government decisions (but doesn’t do so when it disagrees with government decisions) and also is the prosecutor of public officials, knows that it must be defined by law and split up into different roles.

These are just three of many ways that the judicial system has over the years done a total coup to usurp power and neuter the powers of the legislative and the executive branches.

We do not have a democracy today, because the will of the people is not implemented. We have a judicial dictatorship where we have a failed anti-Israel political party, called Meretz, running the country by having the Supreme Court stacked with their like-minded judges, stopping all laws and government decisions that go against their anti-Israel, anti-Jewish agenda.

Now, we are in a bind. Everyone is calling for unity and compromise. But how can we attain unity and compromise when one camp, is intent on lying to the public to motivate the masses to support literally destroying the country if they don’t get their way.

On the other hand, how can the government give in to this undemocratic campaign of lies and emotional manipulation and not pass the judicial reform laws? If the government capitulates then it basically proves to the massive right-wing/traditional camp in Israel, that elections are meaningless, that our democracy is a farce. Even when they lost an election, the left rules because anytime the left wants to stop a political decision they will just rile up the masses with lies and emotional manipulation, and it will stop right-wing/traditional governments from implementing polices that they were voted in to make. Nothing more democratic than that.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has a King Solomon moment upon him, as the vote for the “reasonableness” clause is to take place on Monday.

For years, Netanyahu has been the political magician in Israel who always managed to prevent such situations from developing, because he always knew this hatred existed within the leadership on the left. He has experienced their hatred since the first day he took office, because he represented a very capable leader of the right-wing traditional camp in Israel that could finally lead Israel properly and proudly. But today is different.

It looks like compromise is now impossible. Either the vote takes place on Monday and we see how much of the protest movement actualizes their threats to tear Israeli society and the IDF apart, or Netanyahu pulls back the vote, appeases the mass-hysteria leftist movement based on lies and emotional manipulation, destroying the democratic system and leaving no reason for the right-wing traditional camp to ever vote again.

During these days of Tisha Ba’av, it is very, very sad to see what is playing out on the streets of Israel today.

If anything, it helps us today understand the story of Kamtza and Bar-Kamtza. It hardly ever gets any attention, but Bar-Kamtza was so upset at his fellow Jews that he himself instigated the Romans to go to war against the Jews and massacre his own people. Today, we see the leaders of the protest movement literally calling upon the US to stop supporting Israel, as well as calling upon IDF soldiers to stop serving, as well as many other extremely damaging steps that could hurt Israel. Basically, seeing the story of Kamtza and Bar-Kamtza playing out in our times.

If everyone would be focusing on the facts, the politicians would have been able to sit in a room and come up with compromises. But, because the leaders of the protest movement are filled with such a deep hatred, not just for Netanyahu, but for a strong Jewish character for the State of Israel, they are not willing to compromise. They prefer instigating the potential destruction of Israel.

You know me, I’m an optimist. While the hatred of the leaders of the protest movement can now be seen by many, most of the protestors are not like that at all, and in the end of the day, we will come out of this insane time period stronger and more united than before. It’s hard to see right now, but it will happen.

We just all need to take a breath, focus on showing love and respect to one another, while also agreeing to disagree.

These are redemptive times and the leaders of this protest movement represent the harsh internal challenges we still have to experience as we continue our path to the full redemption. It’s coming, no doubt about it. We are a very blessed generation to be living in these times.

Hold on to your faith and be the best people you can be.

Am Yisrael Chai!!!
