NYC Mayor Blames President Trump for the Monsey Attack

No way. This is sick and so very sad. NYC Mayor DeBlasio is following the continued sickness of many Democrats who ignore the growing cancer of antisemitism on the left, and then blame President Trump for antisemitism in the US.

The Mayor of New York City should know better, considering all the Jew-hating attacks lately have been committed by people of color against Ultra-Orthodox Jews. None of the attacks in New York City were committed by white supremacists, the go-to bogeyman of the Democrats.

US President Trump on Sunday responded to the mass stabbing at the Orthodox rabbi’s house in Monsey late Saturday, describing the attack as “horrific.” “We must all come together to fight, confront, and eradicate the evil scourge of anti-Semitism,” Trump said.

Yes, there is antisemitism on the right, the left and from Muslims. They all must be called out. Unfortunately, there are too many on the left who are still denying the antisemitism on the left, and instead focus all their attention on antisemites on the right and somehow want to put all the focus on blaming President Trump.

The President Has Done Much More

“President Trump has made [combating anti-Semitism] a priority unlike any previous administration,” Elan Carr recently told an audience of the Israeli-American Council (IAC) National Summit a few weeks ago in Hollywood, Fl.

Part of President Trump’s efforts to fight antisemitism includes appointing Elan Carr as special envoy to fighting antisemitism, in addition to his recent executive order on fighting antisemitism.

“When the President of the United States spends substantial time in the most visible speech he makes all year, the State of the Union address, talking about anti-Semitism and using the strongest possible words about tearing out this vile poison from our country … the whole world watches,” Carr added.

At that same event in Florida President Trump himself said, “Throughout history, anti-Semitism has produced untold pain, suffering evil, and destruction. We must not ignore the vile poison or those who spread its venomous creed.”

During the speech, he promised to use “every weapon” at his administration’s disposal.

Brooke Goldstein, of the Lawfare Project had this to say about President Trump’s Executive Order on Antisemitism. This executive order “acknowledges Judaism as a nationality—not just a religion—which for the first time grants Jewish people the same protections every other ethnic minority enjoys under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. The reality of the Jewish heritage and national identity has long been recognized, but has not been codified into law until today. This comes on the heels of repeated incidents of anti-Jewish discrimination on college campuses across the country. The Lawfare Project has been on the frontlines of the fight against this type of discrimination with our Campus Civil Rights Project and our groundreaking civil rights lawsuits, and welcomes this historic step from the Trump administration. While we don’t yet know the exact text of the order, we applaud the concept of granting Jews equal rights under the law.”
