Tzfat is a unique city that has a completely different feel than most cities in Israel. It is one of the 4 holy cities of Israel: Jerusalem, Hebron, Tiberias and Tzfat. Come visit and you will leave completely changed!
Holiness of Tzfat
Tzfat is not just one of the holy cities of Israel, but it is also one of the coolest. Many famous kabbalists are buried there. Rav Yosef Caro, who compiled the main code of Jewish Law in an organized fashion, wrote his book in Tzfat and is buried there.
There is so much Jewish history at every corner in Tzfat. It is filled with places like a yard that was the center of Jewish life dating back to the 16th century! 600 years ago, Jews came from Spain and built an absolutely beautiful synagogue, which you can go and see today. They based the design off of the way their synagogue was built in Toledo, Spain.
Aside from the rich culture, history, and holiness of Tzfat, there is so much to see. Everywhere you look, another beautiful view appears. That is what happens when you are standing at the highest point in the Galilee!
And then there is the Artist Colony. Stunning art is displayed at every corner. You will not be able to leave empty handed.
With a city that has the perfect blend of rich history, culture, beautiful views, and unique art, you will want to stay forever. There is something so captivating about Tzfat.
Once you come, you’ll understand.
