The New Israel Fund (NIF) is not an Israeli organization and its name does not represent Israel. It is not a “new” fund, but rather a fund to create a NEW Israel. It is a foreign political organization trying to change Israeli society. Yesterday Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that he will be opening up an investigation of the Fund for interfering with Israeli policy. The NIF pressured African countries to renege on agreements made with Israel.
Watch the video to hear about the various ways the NIF harms Israel:
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced the formation of an investigation against the New Israel Fund on Tuesday evening. This is a result of the NIF’s pressure on the governments of Rwanda and Uganda. The NIF wants them to not abide by agreements with Israel to take in illegal infiltrators.
Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed this issue on his Facebook page. “The main factor that triggered the European pressure on the Rwandan government to withdraw from the agreement to remove the infiltrators from Israel is the New Israel Fund.”
“The New Israel Fund is a foreign organization that receives funding from foreign governments and elements hostile to Israel, such as from the fund of George Soros. The ultimate objective of the fund is to erase Israel’s Jewish character and turn it into a state of all its citizens. Alongside a Palestinian nation-state that is free of Jews, on the 1967 lines with Jerusalem as its capital,” Netanyahu said.
“For decades the fund has funded anti-Zionist and pro-Palestinian organizations. Including those who slander IDF soldiers such as Breaking the Silence and B’Tselem and those who fight for Palestinian terrorists such as Adalah.”
Israel Has Tolerated NIF Activity Long Enough
“I do not know any Western democracy, especially the United States, which over time was prepared to tolerate hostile activity funded by foreign countries, as has been happening here in Israel with the fund for decades.”
“Therefore, I asked coalition chairman Dudi Amsalem to lead the process of establishing a parliamentary committee of inquiry into the activities of the New Israel Fund, which endanger the security and future of the State of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people.”
This is a very welcome development in Israel. Netanyahu just stunned Israelis with the introduction of a deal with the United Nations. Then, he made a sudden turn-around and cancelled it, all within the last 24 hours. The deal was to deport 15,250 illegal infiltrators from Israel while granting visas to the rest of the infiltrators.
Residents of southern Tel-Aviv strongly opposed the deal with the United Nations. Their neighborhoods have been affected by the influx of illegal infiltrators.
Netanyahu blamed the NIF for Rwanda and Uganda pulling out of the agreement with Israel.
“Over the past two years I have been working with Rwanda so that it will serve as a “third country” that would absorb the infiltrators who will be deported without their consent. This is the only legal way for us to remove infiltrators without their consent after the rest of our moves have been legally disqualified [by the Israeli Supreme Court]. Rwanda agreed to this and began the deportation operation,” Netanyahu wrote.
“In recent weeks, as a result of the tremendous pressure placed on Rwanda by the New Israel Fund and elements in the European Union, Rwanda has withdrawn from the agreement and has refused to absorb infiltrators from Israel who were forcibly deported.”
NIF Funded Organizations Letter to Rwandan President
Here is the full text of the letter to the Rwandan president, as boasted by ACRI, signed by “seven leading human rights organizations,” including several NIF-funded NGOs. It was published originally by The Rwandan on November 27, 2017, under the headline Kagame – Do not accept African Refugees who are deported from Israel by force.”
“His Excellency Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda,
We are turning to you, and to the people of Rwanda, with an urgent request.
Rwanda and Israel have an ongoing special relationship. However, this relationship cannot include trading in African lives.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is telling the Israeli public that Rwanda has agreed to take in African refugees from Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu says that the refugees will be forced to leave: if they do not agree to go to Rwanda, they will be put in prison forever.
“We trust in you, and the people of Rwanda, that you will not agree to this denial of liberty. We hope and trust you will not agree that African refugees are caged and traded in this way.
Their request continues “We call on you to make it clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu – Rwanda will not take refugees who do not come of their own free will.
“We urge you to use your friendship with Netanyahu to remind him – Israel is a country of refugees, it should open its heart to those who have fled Eritrea and Sudan and give them shelter.“

What is the New Israel Fund
The New Israel Fund is an American organization. But, it is registered in Israel as a foreign company.
They have a slogan, “Israel is us,” but it misleads the public. The NIF can not be Israel because they are not from Israel. Yet, the New Israel Fund works against Israel through legal warfare, political lobbying, and international action.
There is no parallel in the democratic world to the NIF. They are a foreign political organization acting in open opposition to the government of the host country.
In addition, as a foreign entity it works to incite Israeli citizens against Israel and to defame its soldiers.
A Funder of Organizations that Delegitimize Israel
The New Israel Fund is an umbrella organization. It funds Israeli organizations that work to delegitimize and undermine Israel’s standing in the world.
Here are some of the delegitimizing organizations that they fund in Israel: B’Tselem, Adalah, Breaking the Silence, Machsom Watch, Yesh Din, Bimkom, Gisha, Mada al Carmel, Musawa, Zizim, and Stand Together. And of course, the Center for the Defense of the Individual and the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, and more.
New Israel Fund Damage Done to Israel
Israel continuously suffers from the organizations funded by the New Israel Fund. Here are a few of the results.
In the Negev: The NIF funds organizations that accuse Israel of ethnic cleansing of the Bedouin tribes.
In Gaza – The NIF funds organizations that accuse Israel of war crimes.
Judea and Samaria – The NIF funds organizations that accuse Israel of apartheid.
The NIF funds organizations that accuse Israel of violating international law in dealing with infiltrators. As part of their campaign they even compared them to Holocaust survivors. They have funded the legal activity in Israel against all legislative solutions for Israel to solve the illegal immigration problem.
In the Jordan Valley – The NIF funds organizations that accuse Israel of ethnic cleansing, water-theft and apartheid.
In the Northern Galil – The NIF finances organizations working against the integration of Arabs into national and military service. As well as organizations that seek to erase the Jewish identity of the State of Israel.
In the Golan Heights – The NIF funds organizations that promote international pressure on Israel. They promote forcing Israel to give away the Golan Heights to Syria.
NIF activity is not just via informational propaganda campaigns in Israel and abroad. NIF funded organizations flood the High Court of Justice with petitions. They do internal and international lobbying. Even worse, they incite entire populations in Israel against each other.
Information on the NIF was provided by the Im Tirzu organization which has been tracking their activity for years.
