Most pundits believe that Trump’s announcement on a withdrawal from Syria was a sudden rash decision that would plunge the region into even more chaos. But what happens if it wasn’t? Is there a possibility that Trump’s announcement was all part of a ruse, a carefully orchestrated statement to throw off Russia, Syria, and Iran while the USA, the Gulf States, and Israel prep for war?
Not a Clean Up Mission After Trump’s Announcement
Observers say no, but John Bolton’s visit seems very strange and far less like a clean up mission than one would think given the push back on Trump’s announcement.
All would agree that the region is being torn apart. Kurds, Syrians, Turks, Saudis, Russians, Iran, Americans, and Israel are are claiming their stake in post war Syria and beyond. This is what made Trump’s decision so odd. Not because it was bad, but rather it bucked a trend in US foreign intervention.
With Bolton saying now that US troops will stay (most likely moved to Iraq from Northern Syria and in Al Tanf near Jordan) all bets are off.
For Israel, the noose is tightening and the US staying put may or may not be helpful as Iran continues to pour military assets into Syria at an alarming rate.
We know the “evil” at the End of Days comes from the North (Jeremiah, Ezekiel, etc.) the very place where Hezbollah (Iran) is building up. While John Bolton may be prepping US allies for a far bigger conflagration, the Bible in many places has already predicted which way this is going to go.
As I have pointed out on my blog at Hebrew Wisdom:
“Redemption and Moshiach come by way of challenges, there is no other way about it. Just like in our personal lives, where we face all sorts of obstacles to our spiritual and emotional development, so to on a national and cosmic level.”
We must remember that all of the world as we know it is just a covering for the will of the Creator. Events, challenges, success, and failures are part of God’s grand story that is rapidly drawing to a close.
The coming war, which begins in Israel’s North will be our gateway to the Moshiach, no matter how scary.
