The answer is that the State Department and the Biden administration has done a lot of negative things – such as insisting on humanitarian aid to the Hamas-supporting Arabs. That has prolonged the war and created worst facts on the ground.
Sec. Blinken has been the point man of the Biden administration to continue the Obama-type policies over the last four years. The Afghanistan debacle, the massive arming of Israel’s enemies via Iran, and the Russian aggression in Ukraine are all connected to the shrinking power of the United States. This is by design. When Barack Obama was elected, he said clearly that he wanted his Presidency to be a transformative Presidency. He succeeded.
What went on in Afghanistan was especially emblematic of the failed Biden foreign policies over the last four years. Many rightfully ascribe the loss of billions of dollars of army equipment to the Afghanis as the worst blunder in recent memory of the United States foreign policy. But the moral confusion in terms of how Blinken’s policies blamed Israel for the terrible price that so many Arabs have faced due to Hamas terrorism is probably the worst form of moral confusion that America has voted out of power.
