Al-Arabiya newspaper reported today (Tuesday) that Israel and the murderous terrorist organization Hamas have reached a preliminary agreement for the release of hostages, including soldier Idan Alexander, who holds American citizenship.

According to reports, it was agreed to establish three safe corridors for the entry of humanitarian aid under the supervision of international bodies. It was also reported that meetings between the parties will continue in Cairo in the coming days.

Earlier today, a political source denied a Reuters report that a breakthrough had been achieved in the talks: “Israel is working continuously and relentlessly with the Americans and the mediators to advance a deal to release our hostages,” but “no agreement has been reached so far.”

Channel 14 political correspondent Tamir Morag said: “As of this time, there is no breakthrough in the negotiations. Hamas is still demanding a commitment to end the war, and Israel is only willing to grant this in exchange for the organization’s disarmament – a demand that Hamas rejects outright. Therefore, at least for now, things are not coming together.”
