Is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer a Christmas song? Yes. But look at the story behind it. You might be very surprised.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Jews

How fascinating is this? Did you know the truth behind this popular Christmas song and story? Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is not who people think he is.

The message about a Jew not trying to change and blend in with the other nations of the world is a powerful message. Getting rid of the “old” Judaism and traditions and trying to make Judaism fit with the traditions of others only harms Jews. And hiding one’s Judaism is not the answer to fighting antisemitism either. It doesn’t help. As it was said in this video, Rudolph didn’t change who he was. He didn’t get a new nose, despite being different.

More Jewish people need to start feeling proud instead of ashamed. They need to start supporting Israel, their ancient homeland, instead of “Palestine,” which is a call for the destruction of the Jewish state. Jews worldwide need to start believing in themselves and their identities instead of trying to rid themselves of who they are. Trying to be just like everyone else is not what a Jew is supposed to do. It’s okay to be different. G-d made the Jewish people His chosen people, and the Jewish people need to embrace that. Sadly, some Jews try to erase that aspect of their lives.

It is funny to think that in something like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, there is an important message for the Jewish people. But after watching this video and hearing about the background, now you know why.

One thing is for sure: This popular Christmas song will never be the same again.
