The knee-jerk reaction that so many have when it comes to blaming Israel is actually all about the old-new version of blaming Israel for literally everything that occurs that is bad in this world. The Charlie Kirk assassination truly brought this to the fore. There is literally no reason whatsoever to suspect that Israel was somehow connected, but the Israel-haters simply don’t know how to control that natural impusle to blame the Jews. So, in a matter of days, the conspiracy was not just born, but blown up into enormous proportions.
Over the last few years, Charlie Kirk was one of the most important people supporting Israel in the United States. He amassed followers in the millions and continued to impact day-in and day-out with his short and powerful video messages promoting conservative values.
But his true uniqueness was his reach among the younger population in their teens and early 20’s. Exacty as the young people in the Western world were being swept into a frenzy of support of progressive values, Charlie Kirk did his best to stem the tide with promotion of free speech, religious values, sanity, common sense and facts. In truth, Charlie Kirk was the most effective voice promoting conservative values among the young crowd, but conservative values are still not “in style.”
It is still far more stylish for most young people to be progressive, pro-transgender values (whatever that truly means), pro-Arab, anti-Israel, and anti-Donald Trump. But Charlie Kirk’s assassination may develop into a turning point wherein masses of young people are awakened by the natural outgrowth of their confused values. A confident and successful future for the United States of America cannot be sustainable with progressive values that often merge with socialist ideologies.
TurningPoint USA may very well turn into a worldwide movement based in the United States that actually has worldwide impact. Whether or not Turning Point succeeds in growing in the future years will depend on whether it retains the honesty of Charlie Kirk who placed being a religious and honorable person over other priorities. His support for Israel was an outgrowth of his religious values and common sense outlook. It did not grow out of donations from Jewish supporters. His values attracted the support of Jewish and non-Jewish donors alike.
All of the anti-Israel chatter is not based on common sense but on anti-Jewish impulses that go back many generations. David Keyes nailed it with this short hilarious clip.
