WhatsappA baby hostage? It sounds so impossible to fathom that any normal human being could fathom taking a small baby hostage? But that is just the beginning of what transpired on October 7th. Much worse occurred – many times over.
The wake-up call that the October 7th massacre delivered to so many in Israel and abroad was enormous. The realization that Israel’s foes are not anywhere close to thinking about a peaceful solution, but only working on new and creative ways to kill Jews shook up millions of Jews across Israel and the entire world. The realization that killing Jews has been the sole goal of more than a million Arabs in Gaza over the last 15+ years is impossible to relate to. That tens of millions of dollars were largely funneled into tunnel building seemed patently absurd. It’s a fact. That is because we in Israel and across the world are normal. Most of Israel’s sworn enemies are bloodthirsty killers. Tough to stomach, but it is the reality.
What this video succeeds in doing is humanizing the devastating and traumatizing experience of babies who were taken hostage. How terrible that experience was for those who are older and who were taken hostage. But at least they can speak and verbalize their experiences. These unlucky souls cannot speak. This video gives voice to their experiences.
When fighting ruthless terrorists, one must be willing to sacrifice. Know thine enemy. Kill them before they kill you. Sounds like the Middle Ages. It is. Welcome to reality.
