WhatsappAn Arab Muslim terrorist was eliminated Shabbat morning near the Lions Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City after he ran towards Israeli Border Police officers in an attempted stabbing attack. Police officers saw him as he was running holding the knife in the air and called out to the terrorist to stop.
When the terrorist did not stop advancing, the officers fired at the terrorist, stopping him. He later died of his wounds.
A 42-year-old woman passing by was injured in the leg by one of the shots at the terrorist.
An MDA spokesperson said: “At 10:58 a report was received in the MDA 101 Jerusalem Emergency Dispatch Center about an attempted stabbing attack near Lions Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem.”
“MDA EMTs and Paramedics are treating and evacuating to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, a 42 year old woman injured lightly in her leg.”
MDA paramedic Yanai Levi said: “The injured woman lay close to the gate, fully conscious with a bleeding wound to her leg. She told us that she was walking by at the time of the attempted stabbing and was injured whilst the attacker was neutralized. We provided her with medical treatment including stopping the bleeding, bandaging and pain relief and we evacuated her to hospital in a stable condition.”
