Ashlee Brown cut off all contact from her family after receiving her mother’s blessing to convert to Islam and marry a Muslim. Five years later, her mother finds out she was murdered by her husband, in what is allegedly an honor killing. The Australian authorities are letting her husband get away with negligent manslaughter instead of murder. Somehow, finding a woman tied up in her home bathroom, dead, with countless amount of stabbings all over her body, does not sound like negligence! Western society must wake up to the inherent sickness of honor killings in Islam to save other women.

Ashlee’s mother tells the full story of how she blames Islam, while the authorities and Western intellectuals prefer to ignore the truth. Don’t miss listening to Ashlee’s mother.

Honor Killings in Islam

Honor killings, and violence against women, in Islam, is a huge problem. This is a problem not just in Muslim countries, but now also in Western countries where they have immigrated to. Phyllis Chesler is a well-known author who is very familiar with the horrible way women are treated in Islam. She herself married a “modern” Muslim and moved back to live with him in Afghanistan. There she personally experienced the horrible treatment of a woman that lives in a Muslim household. She miraculously escaped that lifestyle because she got sick.  Then, finally her father-in-law allowed her to get treatment back in the United States. Otherwise, she was held as a prisoner in Afghanistan, and forbidden to leave.

Abandonment of Western Values

Chesler has written several works on such subjects as antisemitism, Islam, and honor killings. Chesler argues that many western intellectuals, including leftists and feminists, have abandoned Western values in the name of multicultural relativism, and that this has led to an alliance with Islamists, an increase in antisemitism, and to the abandonment of Muslim women and religious minorities in Muslim-majority countries.

Honor Killings are NOT Domestic Violence

When a husband murders a wife or daughter in the United States and Canada, too often law enforcement chalk the matter up to domestic violence. Murder is murder; religion is irrelevant. Honor killings are, however, distinct from wife battering and child abuse. Analysis of more than fifty reported honor killings shows that they differ significantly from more common domestic violence. Muslim advocacy organizations argue that honor killings have nothing to do with Islam and to differentiate between honor killings and domestic violence is wrong.

Living to Kill

“It’s easy to say, yes, the Muslims are against everyone who is not a Muslim. And it’s true. That’s part of what jihad is about, that’s part of the history of Islam. Here’s the thing. The West, and that means Jews and Israelis, would like to lead sweet and peaceful lives. We’re up against an enemy now that is dying to kill us, that lives to kill, and that at best merely wishes to impose on the rest of us its laws and scriptures.”

With the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, terrorism, and gender apartheid, and the Islamist persecution of women, Chesler began to explore similar themes in Muslim-majority countries. Chesler found that sexual abuse is widespread in Muslim communities worldwide, and that such abuse “leads to paranoid, highly traumatized and revenge-seeking adults”.
