The headlines about Israel and the IDF are terrible, as can sadly be expected. Israel carried out a recent operation called Operation Shield and Arrow. Its goal? Not to go on a bloody rampage against its enemies. Not to kill innocent civilians. No, those are the goals of the Islamic Jihad. The goal of the IDF was to stop the violence coming from Gaza. The goal was to stop the rocket attacks that have sent Israelis running to their bomb shelters to save their lives. These rockets kill. Tragically, 1 Israeli was killed in the latest rocket attacks from Gaza. Others have been wounded, others traumatized, and tons of damage has been done.
The headlines make it seem like Israel has no reason to go and attack Gaza. They ignore the incessant rocket fire. They ignore that Israel is fighting against Islamic militants who want to destroy the state of Israel and the Jewish people. And they ignore the fact that the IDF carries out targeted strikes to limit civilian casualties on the enemy side.
Let’s see the CNN news anchors live in Israel under rocket fire and try to comfort their terrified children. Let’s see a BBC journalist live for 1 minute in a city like Sederot. Do they ignore the whole story because they hate Israel so much? Do they really not care about the truth?
The reports are truly sickening. No headline should ever make it seem like Islamic Jihad is even somewhat innocent and that Israel is guilty. It’s time the world saw the facts and stopped ignoring the reality that Israel is a peaceful country while the terrorists in Gaza are funded by Iran and want to destroy Israel and the Western world.
