President Trump
Donald Trump was born in 1946 and before coming the 45th President of the United State was a businessman and a television personality. He was president of his family’s real estate business and expanded it from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan. In 2016 he entered the race for the Presidential candidate of the Republican party and defeated sixteen other candidates.
President Trump has done many good things since becoming President of the United States of America. He enacted a tax cut package for individuals and businesses, he has successfully nominated two justices to the Supreme Court. Trump has ordered a travel ban on citizens from several Muslim majority countries for security reasons.
Trump has stood up for Israel on many occasions. Trump has moved the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, recognizing Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel. He has recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, the land Israel gained in the 6-Day War, 1967. President Trump has always stood up for Israel when it comes to defending itself.
Terror Attacks
Israel, since being established in 1948, has weathered many attacks. The neighboring countries have never been friendly towards Israel and have always tried to push the Jews away.
The 1st Intifada was in 1987 through to 1991, when there was a Palestinian uprising against the Israeli occupation in Judea and Samaria and Gaza. Many say this lasted until 1993 when the Oslo Accords were signed. The 2nd Intifada started in September 2000 and went until 2005. During these periods, throwing rocks, riots, suicide bombings, and rockets intensified.
In recent years, rockets have intensified in the southern cities of Israel, from Gaza. Since Israel left Gaza in 2005, giving control to the Palestinian Authority. Also in recent years, there has been an increase in stabbing attacks all over Israel. There have been many car ramming attacks as well.
The terror in Israel has not stopped. Will there ever be peace? G-d only knows.
