As of today, President Trump has organized a ceasefire with Turkey in Eastern Syria.
But what has this whole situation been about, with the US pulling out 50 troops from Eastern Syria, followed by Turkish attacks on the region?
It is all very confusing, especially with the distorted coverage by the media that is making it sound one dimensional. There is much complexity, connected to a 1,300 year history of Sunni-Shia conflict, that the media is totally silent about in its reporting.
