WhatsappViolent Muslims stone tourists as they walked on the Temple Mount yesterday. Two of the violent Muslims were arrested by the police. This is how they choose to celebrate their holy month of Ramadan from a site they consider holy.
Stoning from the Dome of the Rock
The rioting Muslims were inside the Al Aqsa Mosque. The media many times erroneously call the Dome of the Rock the Al Aqsa Mosque. But the Done of the Rock is NOT the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and not a Mosque at all. (The Golden Dome of the Rock is a structure built to protect the foundation stone of the Temple Mount, upon which Abraham sacrificed Isaac.)
The Muslims threw large rocks and chairs at the visitors as they came within proximity of the Dome of the Rock.
The Muslim rioters injured one tourist and one policeman. Policemen caught and arrested two of the rioters so far. They have opened an investigation has been opened and operations to identify other rioters are continuing.
The police closed the site after the violence and reopened it shortly after the incident.
Temple Mount Activist Response
“The Temple organizations welcome the determined position to [re]open the mount in the face of Islamic rioters, and calls on all Jews who can do so to ascend today and strengthen the advancement of the Temple on the Temple Mount,” said a spokesman for the Temple Mount advocacy organizations.
Timing
Muslims are marking the holy month of Ramadan. As on the Gaza border as well, these Muslims decided to be religious about violence instead of real spiritual growth.
Thursday also marked the 51st anniversary of Israel’s liberation of the Old City and the Western Wall during the 1967 Six Day War.
Police Controlling the Muslim Rioters in the Dome of the Rock
Today, Israel allowed more than 100,000 Muslims to visit the Temple Mount for prayers on the Temple Mount.
The Muslims constantly use violence to create a pr nightmare for Israel injuring and, sometimes killing, violent rioters. All while trying to defend itself. However, the true story is the millions of Muslims who enjoy the freedom of religion that Israel allows them.
