Can you imagine what was going through the mind of the American soldier as he spoke back to the Nazi? Master Sgt. Roddie Edmonds was a true hero.

American Soldier – The Brave Hero

Hearing the story of Master Sgt. Roddie Edmonds is like hearing of a superhero that only exists in a fantasy world. But he was real. He existed. What he did saved 200 Jews, and some are still alive to tell of his heroic act.

And as one of the Jews he saved said in the video, he not only saved those 200 Jews, but he allowed for hundreds if not thousands of more Jews to be born and continue their families.

Edmonds knew he could be killed by responding to the Nazi saying “We are all Jews here,” but he did it anyway. And he never even spoke of what he did.

Being a Hero

Maybe we cannot all be heroes on as great of a scale as Master Sgt. Roddie Edmonds. We don’t all have the opportunity nor the strength to potentially give up our lives protecting others. But we can all do our part to help the world. We can all step out of our own comfort zone to make a difference. You never know the ripple effect one action can have.

When Neil Armstrong took a step on the moon, he said, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” That message can be applied to any action we take to improve the world. Every kind act makes a difference.

You truly never know the impact that you will make.
