We Need Justice
The Lawfare Project wants to ensure that the following message is internalized by as many people as possible. Apathy is abuse. Injustice anywhere is injustice anywhere. Silence is consent. Human rights are for everyone. We must all become a voice for justice for the victims.
Not every Muslim believes in Sharia law. Many Muslims do not support committing violence in the name of Islam. But there are millions of Muslims who do. That is a real problem. Islamaphobia is a misnomer. People have every right to be afraid of Islam. The video above, with the different stories, is a testament to the real fear everyone SHOULD have of Islam.
Muslims shame and punish a girl putting on lipstick and throw acid on her body. They throw gays off of buildings. Christians and other non-Muslims are killed and beheaded. These are only a few of the atrocities that Muslims commit in the name of Islam. Yet the world is silent.
Islamophobia is NOT a phobia
Yes, we have much to be afraid of Islam. Not afraid of all Muslims, but of Islam.
We cannot be silent. We must be a voice for the victims. And we must be a voice for ourselves and our own communities. If the existing silence about the atrocities in the name of Islam continues, we might end up experiencing them in our own families and communities. Just look at what has become of Western Europe.
